WorkshopsIts The STaRs That Get You HiredIntroduces the concept of STaRs (Situation, Tactics and Results) and how they tell your story, and why they make a resume much more effective. It discusses how to create great STaRs, and gives hints for creating successful STaRs. Create The Winning ResumeTakes the client step by step through the different sections that each resume requires, discusses what to include and what to omit from each. We use a fictitious job seeker and a sample job posting to build a customized resume for that posting, using STaRs. Discuss must have, good to have, and nice to have skills. We have a section of resume do's and don'ts and conclude with an exercise to match STaRs from your library to a job posting. Target Your ResumeShows the client how to customize their resume for each position they target. We use the same fictitious job seeker responding to a different posting and show to customize the resume so that it aligns with the posted requirements. We show how by simply changing the wording of STaRs, you can easily create a custom resume for each position you target.
