OEC Tip: Now Is The Time To Rebuild Your Network

After a holiday period of light job search activity, the start of a new year is the time to start fresh again.
Now is the time to rebuild your network. Now is the time to contact old friends, past business associates, old bosses and co-workers, even people that you did not get along with in the past. Why? Because, you need to rebuild and grow your network. Even if you are not in job search mode, now is the natural time of the year for this activity.
Email old colleagues. Re-establish old friendships. Find everyone that you ever worked with and for on LinkedIn, and send them a holiday message and an invitation to link. Remember, the connection you make today might just be the key to finding that great job in the upcoming year.
