Today’s tip seems obvious, yet it is something most of us fail to do. As we get older, life seems to move faster. Things happen, we see things, we hear things, all things we want and need to remember. We have great ideas. I cannot tell you how many times I had what I thought was a great idea, and an hour later, I totally forgot what it was.
It’s not that we are getting older. Our minds are as just as active as they ever were. It is that there are so many things going on, it is getting harder to trust things to memory. The solution, is as much as possible, write things down as they happen. It is simple now – you can write them on your electronic device, or if you are old fashioned, just carry a small pad.
I have been doing this for the last couple of months, and it has made a huge difference. Not only do I not forget things, writing everything down makes it so much easier for me to get organized each day. All it takes is a few moments each day to review your notes from the previous day. No longer do I trust things to memory.
For the few of us that have been doing this their whole lives, kudos to you and continue the great work. For the rest of us, who are like me, it is simple, easy, and you can start doing it today. It will make a big difference in your life.
